Export is a very important direction of development of Polish food companies. The protection program can be supplemented by insuring receivables from foreign customers and securing local commercial transactions in merchant credits with so-called deferred payment date. These solutions are of particular importance for dairy, meat, fruit and vegetable processing and confectionery industries.

A combination of unfavorable events during a manufacturing process may result in a situation when a product introduced to the market may pose a threat to the customers. EIB prepares insurance programs to protect against possible consumer claims, covering also costs of recalling a defective product from the market, such as the cost of receipt of the product from a distribution network, its disposal, and the cost of marketing actions intended to restore a good name of the Entrepreneur.
