EIB acting in the interests of its Clients undertakes actions in the area of reinsurance in the following cases:
LARGE INDUSTRIAL RISKS (e.g. energy, mining, investment), whose size goes beyond individual capabilities of national insurers or even so-called aggregate capacity of the entire domestic market and it is necessary to arrange additional reinsurance to cover 100% of the risk - we arrange facultative reinsurance cover supplementing the capacity of local insurers,
SPECIAL RISKS TYPES for which there are no insurance offers from insurers operating on the Polish market - we search for insurance offers on foreign markets, organize reinsurance arrangements and, if necessary, so-called fronting (contract with local insurer issuing local policy for the Client),
WHEN OFFER OF LOCAL INSURERS IS UNATTRACTIVE IN TERMS OF SCOPE OR VERY EXPENSIVE we organize reinsurance arrangement in foreign and international markets (London, continental and Asian markets) which is an attractive alternative to the local insurance offer.
As part of the reinsurance, EIB cooperates with reputable reinsurance brokers with a well-established position in the international markets, in particular partners in the network of
Brokers Link Global Insurance Alliance and EOS Risq. EIB is the exclusive member of these networks for Poland. In addition, we employ two insurance brokers with competence in the area of reinsurance, responsible for co-operation with foreign markets and verifying offers from other markets.
